Our Story

## Built on Referrals, Rooted in Hartford

Landscaping Hartford began in 2018 when David Miller, a lifelong Hartford County resident, turned his passion for Northeast horticulture into a full-time pursuit. After years working for large commercial landscape companies, he saw a gap: homeowners in the Greater Hartford area needed a reliable crew that actually understood how Connecticut's harsh winters and humid summers affected their lawns and gardens.

Starting with a single truck and trailer, the company quickly earned its reputation through neighborhood word-of-mouth. By delivering meticulous work and showing up when promised, we grew from residential properties in Newington to serving homeowners and businesses across West Hartford, Wethersfield, and Glastonbury.

Today, our seven-person team operates with the same philosophy David started with: treat every property with the same care and attention as if it were our own. We carry full HIC licensing, CT DEEP pesticide applicator certification, and ICPI installer credentials. Every estimate is written, every price is fixed, and every crew member is covered by general liability and workers' compensation insurance.

David Miller founded Landscaping Hartford in 2018 after 15 years in the commercial landscaping industry. A lifelong Hartford County resident with a B.S. in Horticulture from UConn, he brings deep expertise in Connecticut Zone 6b plant selection, frost-heave prevention for hardscaping, and the soil conditions specific to the Connecticut River Valley.
